The iconic Snoqualmie Falls featured prominently in the backdrop of David Lynch’s cult classic Twin Peaks is a must visit attraction for Seattle tourists and locals alike. While, the magnificent 270 ft waterfall boasts of a splendid and timeless scenic beauty all year around, personally I have found the best time to visit has been on a rainy afternoon in mid April, with the falls gushing after a spate of rains earlier in the day and the foliage around is lush and verdant. If you have time to spare, booking a room at the adjoining Salish Lodge with a view of the falls and enjoying a massage at the Salish Spa is an excellent romantic getaway. The hike to the base of the falls is also an easy 30 minute walk, that is totally worth its while.
